Junk Journal Girl

 Hi Everyone, I hope you had a great week and the weekend is going well........ I am having a Pj day and a play in my new Craft Space :)  Probably like a lot of crafters out there.......when my boys were younger and home with me, I always used a part of the living room or the kitchen, for my scrapbooking and craft. I started off with one table, a small book case and basic tools, when I first started scrapbooking 20 years ago.  I have slowly built up my stash and it hasn't cost me a fortune, as I have recycled and bought the right pieces for my space. My boys have settled nicely into their home now and are getting on well. They both moved out when they were ready and I never pressured them.  Things happen and the right time eventually came. I loved having them at home, but it is also a new chapter for me with them leaving the nest......  Hello Friends, Hoping you are all well on this Thursday here in Australia! A bit quieter week for me, a bit of a crook knee, which has slowed me down and we have just come out of Lockdown, yet again!!! I have had a chance to do the next Challenge for Mum's Journal. It was to create a dangle embellishment, for the spine of the journal.  As you may know, I am not really into bling, so I used lots of lace and trims, plus I made one strand of charms, beads etc which reminded me of mum...... One of my fave people on YouTube is Pam @ The Paper Outpost. I watched the above Tutorial and then had a go at making one. Pam is quite funny and she does great Tutorials. She also does a Podcast that I enjoy :) I used a jump ring, to put it on with a clip, just to show you how it looks. It will be trimmed a little more also.  I used some lace, trims and vintage buttons that were mums. I added the few charms that I had to finish off.  Hello There, It is Thursday evening here in Victoria Australia, as we go into another 5-day lockdown!!!!! I think we are all over it but oh well!!!! Nothing really changes that much for us as we are Essential Workers...... After work this afternoon, I had a go at the Mini Chomp #4 which was to make two small notebooks to go into your journal..... These were fun to make and came together quickly, which if you know me, is a good thing :)  I folded some 6.5" square pattern paper in half and just stapled them with my long stapler. One of my most used tools. I just made a little collage on the front of them to embellish, using scraps on my desk. A few of the pages are above to show how I am going to use them in mum's journal.  Gday Everyone I am back with a little project I started a week ago and in between my shift work, I have managed to finish and start using it.  If you are like me, my Junk Journal Ephemera (die cuts, doilies, tags, journal cards, etc) is never sorted and where I can find things when I want to add them to my journal or make something..... I have tried endless ways to store it and have tried zip lock bags, containers, baskets etc, but nothing really works. I am always wasting time looking and it becomes a mess... I decided to do something about it and get it more organised and user-friendly by making a journal and folios to house it all in and divided it into categories. To start, I knew I wanted to use different papers from my scrap box and use them to collage......Music sheet, book pages, scrapbook paper, ledger paper, gift wrap, lined paper, all sorts to create some texture.   I am using my stash and I didn't buy anything for this project......
