'New Personal Planner"

 Happy Monday,

As it gets closer to Xmas and as the year is disappearing, it is time to start thinking about a new planner for 2022. Hoping with our Vaccinations and Victoria opening up again after months of lockdowns, it will be a lot better next year. Some travel and a long overdue holiday would be awesome!!!!

Anyway.........



I decided to use a hardcover book for my new planner as they are more robust and it will be handled quite a bit. I usually tend to go towards blues but this book had a dark red spine and a cream cover. I have some lovely napkins that I haven't used much yet and thought this one with the Robin was perfect for the front of it. I used pieces from a couple of different napkins and used my homemade mod podge glue to seal it all over the front. 


This opens up to a hidden pocket.

I used a large envelope that I covered with a napkin to use as a place to keep more personal items. I made a notebook to keep a track of those pesky passwords we all have......



I have made it in mind with plenty of space to write my evergrowing work roster in and other sections like notes, thoughts, ideas etc. I have used a mix of digitals pages with other papers I had in my stash.



I made a writing board, from a piece of chipboard the size of the journal and covered it. This gives me a hard surface for writing on.  On the back inside cover, I added some address/contact pages. 
I am very happy with my planner/journal which is made with what I use the most.....  It will be a throw all, to keep me a bit more organised I hope......If you are looking for  tutorial to make something like this, there is a good basic one  "HERE" @ the Paper Terrace over on YouTube.

 Hi Friends, I hope you are all well and things are good in your part of the world!!! I  had a bit of a spill, last Thursday morning at work. I hit the right side of my face, shoulder, elbow, arm, ribs, etc.....I wasn't rushing, just doing my job and it just happened.....  I am very bruised and sore, so off work for a week. "Journal Ephemera Storage"

 Gday Everyone I am back with a little project I started a week ago and in between my shift work, I have managed to finish and start using it.  If you are like me, my Junk Journal Ephemera (die cuts, doilies, tags, journal cards, etc) is never sorted and where I can find things when I want to add them to my journal or make something..... I have tried endless ways to store it and have tried zip lock bags, containers, baskets etc, but nothing really works. I am always wasting time looking and it becomes a mess... I decided to do something about it and get it more organised and user-friendly by making a journal and folios to house it all in and divided it into categories. To start, I knew I wanted to use different papers from my scrap box and use them to collage......Music sheet, book pages, scrapbook paper, ledger paper, gift wrap, lined paper, all sorts to create some texture.   I am using my stash and I didn't buy anything for this project...... "Altered Book" - Part 1- Prepping Your Book

 Hi there,  I hope you are doing well :)   Victoria is into our 6th Lockdown now, with cases in Melbourne again :(  I am an essential worker and we haven't stopped.  Thursday, on my way home from work, I went op-shopping locally here in town and found a few goodies for my Junk Journaling stash. I found a few good size books, some doilies, postcards, cards and envelopes, writing sets, a Japanese watercolour book, and music books. I go maybe once a month/6 weeks, or so for a peek and I usually find some cool bits and pieces.  I have today off and thought I would make a start on a new journal for me..... I found a nice copy of Pride and Prejudice, which I think I have decided to use as my new Personal/Daily journal. I wanted to keep the nice cover and take out some pages. It is a 1984 copy so not precious and the pages had a good thickness to them also. I have made a couple of altered books before, my latest being a Vintage book.
