"Custom Made Journal"

 Hello There, 

I have been a little absent with life, once again getting in my way!!

 We have had a few Covid cases here and staff off work, so I have been helping out where I can......Victoria is nearly 70% 1st dose Vaccinated which is wonderful and some restrictions are going.  I am mostly looking forward to having my son come home for dinner and time together again. 

I have been working on my new planner for my work rosters and other bits and pieces, plus a custom order for my friend Susan, who own Geelong Cleaning Experts, based here in Colac.  As I have finished it and she has it, I can now show you. I have also been altering a Xmas Little Golden Book for a swap that I am having a go at also.  I always have something on the go......



Susan gave me a bit of an idea what she wanted to use the journal for and I went from there.............For her custom journal, I used a hard book cover book, which was basically unaltered. I strengthened the spine and made 4 signatures for it which I bound in, on some chipboard using elastic. The original spine of the book is intact and the pages, as used can be replaced.

Inside the cover was left unembellished. I made a double pocket so there could be more journaling space.




I have been wanting to use some digital papers,  so I printed up a storm and used calendar pages and gave plenty of room for notes, ideas, etc to be used. I also added some of my lightly tea-stained paper that can be written on also.....

I left a bit of length on the elastic and added a few charms. They can be replaced with something else if wanted. I also added a few clips and things inside that she could add too as well.


To finish the Journal off, I made her a writing board and a pen holder. I added some lovely trim and an Angel Wings charm. I am very happy that she loved the Journal I made her and that it is going to help her keep her business/life organised......

 Hi Friends, I hope you are all well and things are good in your part of the world!!! I  had a bit of a spill, last Thursday morning at work. I hit the right side of my face, shoulder, elbow, arm, ribs, etc.....I wasn't rushing, just doing my job and it just happened.....  I am very bruised and sore, so off work for a week. "Pj Day & My New Craft Space"

 Hi Everyone, I hope you had a great week and the weekend is going well........ I am having a Pj day and a play in my new Craft Space :)  Probably like a lot of crafters out there.......when my boys were younger and home with me, I always used a part of the living room or the kitchen, for my scrapbooking and craft. I started off with one table, a small book case and basic tools, when I first started scrapbooking 20 years ago.  I have slowly built up my stash and it hasn't cost me a fortune, as I have recycled and bought the right pieces for my space. My boys have settled nicely into their home now and are getting on well. They both moved out when they were ready and I never pressured them.  Things happen and the right time eventually came. I loved having them at home, but it is also a new chapter for me with them leaving the nest...... Mums Journal - Challenge 4"

 Hello There, It is Thursday evening here in Victoria Australia, as we go into another 5-day lockdown!!!!! I think we are all over it but oh well!!!! Nothing really changes that much for us as we are Essential Workers...... After work this afternoon, I had a go at the Mini Chomp #4 which was to make two small notebooks to go into your journal..... These were fun to make and came together quickly, which if you know me, is a good thing :)  I folded some 6.5" square pattern paper in half and just stapled them with my long stapler. One of my most used tools. I just made a little collage on the front of them to embellish, using scraps on my desk. A few of the pages are above to show how I am going to use them in mum's journal.
